Asian Pacific Islander Potluck May 17th at 1pm

May is Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. This month is dedicated to celebrating the cultures, traditions, and achievements of this community as well as their contribution and influence on the history of our country.

There are more than 25 million people of Asian or Pacific Islander descent in the United States, according to a recent census, and over 50 individual ethnic groups that are a part of the AANHPI community. This community consists of people from a region that covers one third of the Earth—including the Far East, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and the Pacific. Herbal Harvest on May 24th 9am to 12noon

Calling the herbal lovers! We have our next Herbal Harvest Day on May 24th! The focus is on Lemon Balm. Angela Sarah North will be joining us to share herbal lore about Lemon Balm.

I have to share that we had some pomegranate and winter squashes from Teresa's Global Family Farmstand on our Thanksgiving table. Oh My Gosh, they were GOOD!! I don't know how Teresa does it, but EVERYTHING tastes better. Through knowledgeable organic farming practices and surely what must be a sprinkling of magic, those pomegranates were the sweetest and crispest that I ever tasted. Same with the squashes. They elevated the entire meal!
